I just lost a junior to mid-level developer to a $140k offer. She is 5 years out
of college. I'm happy for her but it sucks to lose a good one. Corporate pay structures are not able to compete with people who look outside for offers. I did everything thing I could to accelerate her growth with raises and long-term incentives. 🙁
