I think dual income vs. single income changes your perspective quite a bit
Anytime you are a single income household (married or not), the breadwinner is 100% responsible for making sure those bills get paid. That puts them in the position of chasing money and career advancements aggressively because it's all on their shoulders. Anytime you are in a dual income household, you share the load. I think that makes you more likely to be passive.
