Far too many of the doctors here have such poor grasp of English that it is a wonder people survive.

Having a family member who works for a medical malpractice firm as a legal nurse may just make the problem more apparent to me.

I think the $250K is for "non-economic" damages, i.e. pain & suffering, etc.
