First of all, how does good health care and retirement prevent bankruptcy?
Second of all, what teacher has good health care or retirement? The health care 15 years ago was quite good, but it has taken a big drop. According to the National Council on Teacher Quality, in terms of retirement benefits, now is the worst time in at least three decades to become a teacher.
Unless you are in it because you love teaching kids, there is no reason to go into teaching as a career.
