How good was Baylor at the time? Which four schools were they interested in from the Big 12. I could see them wanting to poach Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska (still a member at the time I think), and Texas A&M, and Colorado (because of proximity probably). I think Baylor would naturally be lower on their list. Though a religous affiliation could certainly be a key factor behind closed doors. I don't know, just looking for known facts.
