1) National Championships teams almost always have a top 10 class in its last 4 years
2) Getting at least one 5 star recruit gives you a better chance at a top 10 team
3) Having at least 6 4 star recruits on your roster gives you a better chance at a top 10 team
The article doesn't draw many conclusions about recruiting rankings and final rankings for teams fighting outside the top 10. There are way too many teams that under perform or over perform their rankings to say that there's a correlation in rankings to finish. The University of Texas would be a perennial top 5 team if rankings were the end all, be all. Boise State would never finish in the top 25 either
