Bad article
The article is essentially claiming that correlation = causation. It fails to account for the sustained success of some teams that rarely have top recruiting classes (Houston, Boise, Oklahoma State), nor does it satisfactorily address lasting periods of failure by teams with all the talent in the world (FSU, Texas, USC, UCLA).
