Bronco had some major flaws too
didn't care one iota about players going to the NFL, didn't care if his coaches advanced after BYU, was very against recruiting top players with an entitlement mentality, didn't care much about measurables, had unbalanced rosters, didn't correct the recruiting woes of the Oline, etc.
He did a great job in other aspects to have team leaders every year, get a team identity, and shifted his approach to the strengths of his players. He was on cruise control for 7+ win seasons.
