If that is truly the mentality, That they are knowingly going above and beyond what is required, then I completely respect that. However, it is clearly not the purpose of tithing to pay money out of pocket when receiving a bonus check, or being left with such little money because you were paying gross that a family Struggles espite making a good income. That mentality, makes no sense and not with the Lord intended for his faithful followers.
