I don't know the stats, but sometimes the marriages are win-wins
She gets a dramatically upgraded life for her and her kids. He gets the companionship he's seeking in a traditional role that she's aspired to. American men get a bad rep, but they are doing dramatically better than the men in most of these countries. There is an even greater shortage of men who will be faithful and treat her equally.
Of course, there are also nightmare stories that ends in a train wreck.
