I call in Political Marijuana instead of Medical Marijuana. If they could remove the politics from it, it could be studied appropriately, the benefits known. Maximize its benefits, minimize the side effects. Come up with good, safe delivery systems (not smoking), with doses that are known and consistent from batch to batch.

IMO, the biggest barrier to proper study for use as medicine is the recreational use lobby.
