I like Irmita’s in St George...
They actually had one in American Fork 10-15 years ago as well but it closed down. The one in St. George is still there, my wife and I went and ate there a few weeks ago.

San Diego/Cali mex is great but it's not true Mexican. Neither is Tex-Mex. Luckily I love all three types

In the US I think you're right. I do prefer Ameri/Cali/Tex ified versions to "authentic" here. Real stuff in Mexico city
