i *might* feel that way if it were a sibling. probably not, but maybe.
the fact that its your brother in law, and your in-laws money suggests to me you should get over it. if your wife feels its unfair or whatever, you can acknowledge that and sympathize with it and validate her feelings. but no way should you buy into any of that whatsoever.
