My parenting style...
Being a teacher I hav a captive audience, and I like to troll them sometimes. Don't worry its all in good fun. One thing that I have said many times to my students, when talking about plans after high school.

I say, "You know what I am getting my daughter for her graduation present? Luggage."

I am only halfl joking but both my wife and I have done everything we could to encourage our kids to get out of the house as adults and live their lives. We have my 15 year old left, and why she has some challenges that may delay her from moving out by a few years, we often use language that will hopefully encourage her to make that leap of faith.

Its funny. My daughter who is graduating this April from BYU moved hom last summer to save money for school in the fall. I think she hated being at home. I don't think she will ever move back home again, unless it is out of financial hardship. I don't think it had anything to do with us making demands. She is a really good kid. I just think she liked the autonomy of being on her own, and kind of took it for granted.

Or I am not very self aware and am difficult to live with Nah. Couldn't be that.
