I think we do ourselves a disservice by not speaking about difficult subjects.
We tend to do this in church too. We tend to dance around issues such as suicide, sex, depression (i.e. no one should be depressed who lives the gospel).
There are difficult, real life issues that need to be addressed straight on. People can learn or be shown that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that there is hope.
