Agreed. Attention is good if it's productive attention. Focused on the help
that's available.
If, however, the attention is finger-pointing, or (just as common) wallowing and all about the drama, then it can become unproductive, exhausting, and obsessive.
A candlelight vigil, like a political protest, can easily become all about "look at me! this is about me!" which is counterproductive for at-risk people who already have a hard time getting outside of themselves mentally/emotionally.
