Football is secondary to the mission of the school. Until athletic departments are separated from universities there will be times when the institutions clash. I cheer for BYU because of the institution and the players on the teams not because they are the coolest team or trying to do what it takes to win at all costs. In fact, I cheer for them more because they are not trying to do what it takes to win at all costs.
