This is a false dichotomy. It isn’t an “either/or” proposition.
You can have a solid football program and strong academics. It is possible. And you can do both while admitting student athletes who might not have been able to participate otherwise.
You’re looking at it as though it is one or the other. Or that by admitting a small number of grad student athletes you will somehow “materially” harm the school programs. It just isn’t true and doesn’t have to be that way.
