I think they just put their 25 year old selves in the place of the old lady and gave their honest opinion, not really looking at the situation for what it is, and how she would have viewed it. I think they underestimate themselves too. Even though these were younger colleagues, I think I'm speaking for society as a whole. With so many lawsuits and cameras, etc...people are more hesitant to help other people. I do think we have become a much more closed off society as a whole, all ages, me included.
