now that I have a smart phone that when someone is approaching who could probably need my encouragement or a simple pick me up, I'll pull out my phone and look at it, to avoid that interaction. Feels great in the moment but I always regret it. Or when I don't answer a call, knowing they'll text later. I spend more time talking online with you than some people close to me. That's nuts 😉 I understand what you are saying and we can't always just blame tech, but we sure need to be proactive in being a good human face to face.
