He's good...
specifically he has good speed, upper 4.5 so better than reported, really good body control and nice strong hands. The knock on him would be his height, I think he is a hair under 6'1". He has a good thick build though, nice legs and good sized butt so his lower body strength in particular is really good. He is very competitive, has a lot of drive, works hard, just has the stuff you want in a player. Gives you all he has and what he has to give is very good.

It's hard to say exactly how good any kid will turn out to be but I would place money on him turning into a very solid player for BYU. By that I mean a kid that will be in the wr rotation, will catch passes and make some plays, will represent the school the way they want to be represented, he's just really a great fit for BYU.

For his sr year in HS this year it is a bit of a mystery how it will go. Last year he had an All State FBS D1 QB throwing to him and an Al;l State FBS D1 HS Under Armor All American WR on the other side of the field taking double teams and leaving him in a lot of 1 on 1 situations. He will not have that this year, he will be the guy and get all of the defensive attention plus the QB situation will not be nearly as good as what he had last year. My opinion, and I've actually discussed this with him and his dad and we all are interested to see how it works, but it could be that he has a monster year because he is the best WR there and the new qb leans on him and just feeds him the ball. Or it could be that the new QB just isn't good enough to set him up the way he was last year and he maybe doesn't catch as many balls as he did.

My take is he'll have a great year regardless, probably won't catch as many passes and TD's and have all those yards, last year was just a perfect situation for all 3 of those guys and that just won't be the case this year. But he'll be great, all state level and D1 deserving.

I think he is going to be one of those guys that when he is done at BYU is when people are gonna realize how good he was.
