Interesting. So how was it a mistake by BYU if the opportunity was just not
there and with the position locked up for the foreseeable future? It seems like the only other option would be to fit him into another position if he had the ability. It wouldn't make sense to me to offer a scholarship to a lesser-known commodity when we have the position stocked about as well as one could hope for.
