as well as Utah and USU and they'll realize it eventually. But from our vantage point now I don't think BYU was the right place or the right situation for him. They have a bunch of QB's and they're still trying to establish a respectable passing offense. Wilson is their guy for the next 3 years, they're all in on him, so opportunity was pretty limited.

What you'd like to see as a recruit is at least a pathway to opportunity, some indication that you can compete for the job and if you're the best one be given the job but that wasn't really the case at BYU right now. They've got a couple of guys they're really high on and opportunities to even show are not all that great for the forseeable future.

It's interesting though because we've heard from some people that know that they think he was a top 30 QB in the country this last year but because he only got to start one season and didn't attend camps because of baseball that he just wasn't known and didn't get a chance to create some buzz. It's OK, Hawaii is going to be awesome and we're pretty stoked about it.

BYU did try to get him to take a PWO but we had no interest in that. He is far to good to go somewhere for free.
