after the coach goes 4-9 and 7-6 in back-to-back seasons and goes 0-6 against Utah, USU, and Boise State during that time. Not to mention the inability to beat any team of note at home (3 FBS wins at home in two years and losses to UMASS and Northern Illinois).
Unbelievable how expectations have been reset under Sitake. I like him and hope he succeeds, but contract extension discussions should be the last thing on Holmoe’s mind right now unless some major things change (beat at least one rival, win more than 50% of home games).
At this point Holmoe should spend more time on thinking about a replacement than a contract extension. If we start winning like we used to, then focus on an extension.
