Just because the barrier to entry has been removed for all RMs does not mean that the courses will be any less rigorous. I doubt they will simply hand out diplomas left and right just because an enrolled student is an RM. If the student is incapable or unwilling to finish the degree, so be it. But perhaps THE MOST basic and fundamental premise of education at any level is that all students are capable of success given the right resources to suit their needs. It is my understanding that the Pathways program does just that - it makes education more accessible, individual, and effective for its students. Unlike athletics, in education the only person a student is really competing against is him or herself. So to say that the coursework will be made less rigorous is, perhaps, erroneous.
