It’s no more silly than trading status and opportunity for
easy wins and meaningless conference championships.
G5 is a step down. Period. Trophy or no trophy.
We need to decide if we want a better team or a better record. They are not equivalent. And a better record is window dressing if it’s a move to G5 or FCS. In that way they are similar.
