I agree, but I don't think that's the issue. I've heard it argued that

the chances of BYU landing the high-profile athletes would be even smaller, as they would be enticed to play in the "larger markets" where more money can be made. Basically, the players will chase the cash. Just a theory I've heard - it's difficult to know exactly how it would play out for BYU...
