If you have a runner on third who you are trying to get home, or on second who you want to move to 3rd, you could possibly get a catcher trying to get the out at first and enabling the other runner to advance.

It also opens the possibility of some tricks, like making a throw to make it look like you are throwing to first, but then going quickly to third/home to get the lead runner.

It is definitely interesting.
