Now that’s an interesting strategy.
If they try to catch the runner stealing 2nd or 3rd, the batter is now able to try and take first, or does this only apply if it is a “dropped” pitch? Also, at what point is the batter considered to have attempted a steal? Can he take a couple steps to fake it, but then return to batting? Maybe you could speed up the game by ruling that a batter who leaves the box is ruled to be attempting to take first. Then you would have to stay in the box during your plate appearance.
