I have no control over the companies I invest in.
I work with many clients who work a wide variety of businesses. One client, who is probably my most wealthy client told me not long ago that he has never invested in the stock market. He said he was always more interested in investing in himself. It has made me rethink my own investing.
I don’t feel like one can truly be truly diversified investing a variety of different funds. I think to be truly diversified, you have to different types of investment vehicles. A 401k, or other financial investments is one type, real estate another, business ownership is another. Others may be able to describe others but that is how I see it.
