I think people on here tend to take a handful of incidents and then blow that up to mean that it is super common or frequent. The sacrament jello shots is such an incident. It's been referenced on this website no less than 4 million times. It's a group of people that have decided this is funny. I might kindly remind them that our coach, many of our players, and many of our fans are members of this religion and this isn't exactly a great look. But they might look me in the face and say "I don't care, I don't like the church and I think you all are full of crap and I am going to do what I want." And you know what, they can continue to do what they want. It's not against the law and how hard are other fans really going to fight that issue.
And just because those people cheer Utah and act like jerks doesn't mean I am not going to cheer for Utah. That's silly.
People are people. Some people are going to be rude and classless. It isn't my job to police every fan of my team and I don't have to physically confront people every time they do something I don't approve of. THey have the right to be disrespectful to the church. I don't condone that, but there truthfully isn't much I can do about it. So it's tolerated but not condoned by many fans.
