Some day when the brethren shut down BYU's sports programs, we'll all look back on threads like this and remember sport's unique power to make us look down on others. And maybe even some of us will nod our heads in agreement and think, "yeah, as members of the church, we should have been better than this."

And before you accuse me of holding BYU fans to a better standard... isn't that exactly what members of the church as supposed to do? Hold ourselves to a higher standard?

CB could use a lot less of this kind of crap.

And yes, I know often it's meant as a joke. But it's a bad joke.
