A few observations:

- BYU has 2 current strong kickers/punters (Oldroyd / Southam) and 1 additional average punter

- BYU has Ryan Rehkow (2017) who just returned from his mission who is also in the running for next years kicking duties

- BYU has 2 kids (Justen Smith (2018) / Cash Peterman (2018) who are a year out from returning from their missions who both were really good in high school with Top 15-20 National recognition.

- BYU has 1 kid (Matthias Dunn (2019) who looks to be decent although his National rank was really low, 150ish.

- BYU has also told other 2020 graduating kickers that they don't have a spot for additional special teams personnel as of yet but can walk on if they'd like. I know of 2 kids that are ballers that are frustrated at that response.

- Lastly, the video that was posted kicking shows that he is obviously kicking with the wind which takes away from any impressiveness. The flight of his ball is not very high on both kick offs and field goals. In fact most of those field goals would have been blocked they were that low. The kick off approach is also abnormal with an all out sprint. The kid is okay - BYU has much better options currently playing and also on deck. I hope I'm not offending anyone but that is the real truth. BYU has a whole slew of kickers and we will be in great shape moving forward.
