Literally, two plays is the difference between 14 points. The game could've gone very different if they hadn't happened, for better or worse but as it stands two single plays by their D gave Utah 14 points. It wasn't the beat down the score would indicate and the rabid annoying Utah fans we sat next to said the same thing. These were boneheaded plays by Zach that without context would make it seem as though Utah dominated on both sides of the ball when they didn't.
I didn't before and I don't after, think that BYU is the better team here. They had their chances to put up more points and make this a better game than it was but they squandered those opportunities. For me I'm just looking for progress to come from those mistakes. If Utah is as good as some say they are then I don't think we have a bad team based on what I saw last Thursday.
