“Owned the first half and allowed Utah to be in it”

Utah was WINNING the whole first half and they NEVER TRAILED in the game. They won by 18, and would’ve won by 25 if not for having mercy and kneeling.

That’s not exactly “allowing a team to be in it”, that’s just plain out getting beat.
How does allowing 188 rushing yards to one player qualify as stellar defense?
