My suggestion is conditional on CFB choosing to keep the absurd restrictions that are in place now.
The key difference for me is the magnitude between the restrictions for players in the NFL and in college.
Does that make sense? Basically my point of view is that CFB's restrictions are so extreme that if they want to keep them in place, coaches and admins should be partaking of the same medicine they argue is so good for players.
For the record, I think the primary motivation for the NFL's salary caps is financial, not competitive.

You're missing the part where college players don't have salaries. If they did, and they could do something
