That states rights were violated but do not realize that this argument stems from those are mostly upset that slavery was abolished.

The other reason is that they wish the states could have formed a confederate country(continuing slavery) thereby having a broken and weakened country or countries where we would be under constant attack by others.

This is what they wanted? Once the southern states seceded they were no longer under the constitution correct? They went to war and lost and were absorbed back into the country.

Ending slavery AND saving the union were worth fighting for.
