I agree that a lot of people would benefit from your research, or heck, even just hearing your story. It’s eye-opening both for people like you (who don’t realize their own worth and potential) and for those who interact with people like you. We need more people like you.

One of the challenges in the workforce is helping people (i.e., bosses) distinguish between those who are truly lazy or truly bad at managing time (or whatever the case might be) from those who have untapped and underutilized capabilities and who just need the right environment in order to unleash their greatness. So one challenge is to educate people, and another is to empower them to be able to identify people like you from the crowd so they can put these diamonds in the rough in a position to succeed. In such a busy, fast-paced world, that can be difficult to do. But it’s important enough to try and make the effort, as you are doing.

Also, as you said, all the more reason to treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of how things seem on the outside.
