That’s not the argument...
BYU pays the cost of living allowance and other stuff as ncaa allowed, I’m talking about actually paying their athletes salaries and such. They aren’t gonna get into any kind of paying athletes competition with anyone even if they could afford it more than most. We go on and on here ad naseum about how cheap they are with coaches salaries, recruiting, etc so I highly doubt they’re gonna pay some athlete anything resembling real money just to come to BYU.
Anything like that would have to be done outside of the school itself, from boosters. Heck we’ve gotta have boosters to pay the coaches seperately just to get them to a sort of respectable level. The church is not in the business of making anyone well to do.
