People thought of Bronco as a "weak" candidate too
People had dreams of Andy Reid & Norm Chow, with Whittingham being an acceptable third option. Once Kyle passed most favored Lance Reynolds. So when Bronco was hired many people felt BYU had hired a weak candidate. But fans didn't know about Bronco's leadership skills and how a foundation of discipline and execution were what BYU really needed.
