Frankly, this is probably what BYU should do is leave the coaching and in game decisions to others and hire a coach that can manage the church aspect of the program along with the recruiting and managing of the team kind of like ASU's model.

Since they are talking about pay being an issue they could cut the HC and split it with the OC/DC and then increase the position coach pay.
