guy got recognized for success and went on to better things, that's plenty worth it. If you're playing it because the guys you get just keep sucking, well, it's kind of necessary, isn't it? Although at that point it's probably the fault of the athletic director because he has a poor eye for talent in coaches.
I really don't know if Sitake is there yet. If this season keeps going the same way, I do think it should be, especially because the timing really kills things. You can't justify an extension but you keep the guy anyway, that's not going to land recruits.
Just like how a head coach needs to be good at understanding when to enforce some things and step in to make changes, so does the AD. And it will FOREVER be an awful awful excuse to not let a guy go because you're unsure of the replacement options. You NEVER play that card. Ever.
