You realize that BYU actually has standards and tries to live up to them and...

that the leaders of the Church actually run BYU? The pope and other senior Catholic leadership have little to do with Notre Dame, Baylor and TCU don't exactly enforce upholding religious standards and there really isn't a national religion backing them up. Yes they are Christian, but it's not as structured and organized as our Church.
