A national championship.
A random bowl win means nothing historically. Championships live forever. When I go to a stadium I'm not blown away when I see a school won some bowl game, but I am impressed when a see a national championship banner. USC has won 25 Rose Bowls, besides the ones that were for national championships, does anyone outside the USC fanbase really care?
