Back in the WAC/MWC days, I used to root for the Utes whenever they didn't play
BYU. I did that for two reasons: 1) since we were in the same conference, all conference wins were a good thing, and 2) I had a general goodwill towards them.
Then came Urban Meyer, 80K, Pac-12 smugness, and worst of all, the disingenuous Dr. Hill. #1 above is obviously no more, and the aforementioned group has killed off any and all goodwill I have towards many of their programs; although, I still have goodwill towards their women's sports.
I just have a hard time giving respect to where so much disrespect has come from.
