- Each team plays one 3-game “home” series every year in a “sister-city”
Some examples could be: Blue Jays play in Montreal, Marlins play in Cuba, Mariners in Portland, etc.

Special events like London, Japan, Field of Dreams, etc would meet this requirement.

Baseball is an extremely regional sport, at the very least this increases interest outside the actual home city and adds more casual fans. Plus 78 home games is plenty.

- Now that Nike has taken over the uniforms, bring over the popular city jersey concept.

Doesn’t have to be an entire uniform, could just be a hat. Baseball hats are iconic and already represent more than just a team to a lot of wearers.

- Expand to 32 teams. 2 leagues, 4 divisions, 4 teams each.

Playoff format similar to NFL but series instead of 1 game and no re-seeding after each round. 4 division winners and 2 wild card per league. Top 2 division winners get a bye while bottom 2 play 3-game series vs wild card teams. Next round is 5 games, final 2 rounds are 7.
