I love baseball, but i have no idea how someone can think that the perfect game was developed over 100 years and there should be no changes. I also hate the argument against past records. Who cares about past records. The game is so old and evolution is so great that trying to compare past results to current results is just pointless. Here are the changes that should be made:

1 - Electronic umpire (absolute must). The impact of a bad strike is so huge in baseball. Down in a count 2-0 and the umpire calls a strike that is outside is just huge.

2 - Have a DH and do not have pitchers hit, unless the team chooses (pitchers hitting is boring and pointless, and don't say what about X pitcher. The greatness of one pitcher hitting is far less beneficial than the thousands of terrible at bats).

3 - Let batters hit in any order, any inning. However, before a batter hits five times then each play must hit at least twice. I go to a game to watch Mookie hit, and him getting short changed just sucks. I would much rather watch Mookie hit four times then watch Bradley hit twice. The intrigue of watching the greatest players do their thing more would definitely increase the love of the game. You go to a game and watch the star player get walked twice, screwed by the umpire once on a bad call, and then one legit at bat. This happens way too often.

4 - Let pitchers sub in and out as needed. No warm up pitches if a change is made between inning. Don't make it so once someone is out of the game they can't come back in. That is just dumb. Soccer has the same problem.

5 - I assume the batters hitting more might cause more hits, so reduce the game to 7 innings. The game should be over in 2.5 hours, three hours tops.

6 - Ties are allowed, playing extra innings in middle of the season is absolutely terrible. If you don't like ties, come up with another idea like watching each teams best hitter get five at bats to see who wins.

7 - no stealing. The time wated in throwing over to a runner is a major problem.
