In 22 years of play, the AL has won the season series 17 times,
including 14 straight until this past year. There is a clear advantage for the AL when they play the NL. The AL team paying $10M to have a DH hitter against an NL team that has a platoon player hit DH far outweights an AL pitcher having to hit against an NL lineup. Different rules to different leagues makes no sense.
