Hi Rocketman, I'll do my best to give you an honest answer. First, I think that Utah's BB coach should be fired. While I support the Utah team (as well as the BYU team), I wonder why coach K loses so many players (some good ones) every year. There must be something there that we don't see behind the scenes. It can't just be that he's hard nosed. Majerus cussed, screamed and demeaned players, but they kept coming back.  Also, Krystkowiak is among the top paid coaches in the country.... I just don't see the results. Regarding the Emery incident, a head coach cancelling the next contest is akin to a child wanting to take his marbles and go home. Emery lost his cool... so what. Sports are adrenaline pumping, exciting and all consuming during the heat of a game. The right thing would have been to move on. 

Your second question is a good one and an intriguing one. No school should demean another one. Having said that, I do believe that on the football side, the whole PAC-12 thing has complicating scheduling. The PAC-12 plays more conference games than the other conferences, which is of course idiotic, as it puts them at a disadvantage to the other conferences. So, Utah has to schedule a few warm-up wins and then get on with the conference. BYU is definitely not a warm up. Both sides take it serious and beat each other up. Despite Utah wins of the last few years, BYU almost always leaves bumps and bruises. For me personally, I want the rivarly to be civilized and fun and to continue for years to come. It use to be good natured fun. I yearn for those days.
