Hey Northern Blue, if you're old like me, maybe we played together.... I absolutely, positively assure you I was never, ever a lukewarm teammate. I played for blood and played my heart out every minute I was on the field. Unfortunately, I'm forced to admit that I have been thrown out of a few games (basketball more than football). These days, I even had to quit playing pickleball tournaments because I took them too seriously. Even in recreation games, I just flat hate to lose. I respect your opinion, but for me, it's much, much different being a spectator than it is being on the field. Just my opinion.....
I do taste defeat when either Utah or BYU loses. The whole point of my post was not that everyone should cheer for both teams, but just that the rivalry can have mutual respect and still be a fierce and fun rivarly.
